A peer-led social enterprise creating opportunities for connection, learning, and confidence.
About The Project
A peer-led enterprise built on community
Our coffee cart is more than just a great cup, it's a platform for people to build skills, grow confidence, and find a sense of purpose and belonging.
Connection
The cart creates a natural gathering point. A reason to stop, chat, and build relationships.
Learning
Members gain real barista skills. Practical knowledge that opens doors to employment.
Confidence
Stepping behind the cart is a confidence-building experience that carries into all areas of life.

Nicola Sandy
Barista Trainer
Kia ora, I'm the Project Lead and Barista Trainer for the Te Ata Coffee Cart Project. I feel incredibly lucky to bring together my love of coffee and my passion for people — supporting others to grow in confidence, skills, and connection. My journey has taken me from theatre and business ownership to coffee training in London, and I'm excited to share that experience here at Te Ata.
